About
Five
Star
Calendars
Five Star Calendars is
a product name of Active Print, a
UK based company.
We have been active in the
printing industry for more than
20 years, originally trading as
Inprint, based in Barking, Essex,
founded in 1985.
Inprint specialised in trade
printing only, offering its litho
printing service to the NHS,
Metropolitan Police, Lloyds and
Midland Bank, Houses of
Parliament, British Airways and a
long list of companies serviced
by WH Smith (now known as
NiceDay), as well as a number of
high street print shops in London
and the south east.
In 1997 we successfully pioneered
the very popular Free personal
and business card product, first
advertised in the Exchange and
Mart and local newspapers across
the UK and then promoted online
to include the Western European
market.
At the same time we were
acquiring web development skills
and search engine knowledge and
we quickly realised we could
offer Internet services to our
clients. We created our Internet
arm in 1998, now known as
X9.NET,
or X9 Internet, currently hosting
more than 26,000 web sites.
We entered the digital era in
2001 with a Xerox DC12, the first
of many similar machines, which
enabled us to produce short run
next day glossy colour property
details for estate agents,
EstateAgentBrochures.com,
and later included hotel and
restaurant menus and eventually
also the general public.
In 2004, we embarked into the UK
personalised printing market with
greeting cards and calendars. In
2005, Active Print was
incorporated for the sole
function of supplying demand for
personalised printed products
promoted through the network of
5uk.com partner sites. In June
2008, Active Print has become
part of X9 Internet.
We firmly believe our product's
quality is vastly superior to
that offered by most others.
